Rotaract club of Kathmandu takes an immense pleasure to announce its mega campaign this year on “TRAFFIC AWARENESS”. The club has taken aninitiative in association with Kathmandu Metropolitan Traffic Police, Hanumandhoka, to create awareness amongst students of 10 +2 / Advanced level, College levels on “Traffic Rules” and thereby help them by providing information on safe biking and driving.

Since, college students are the most common victims of Road Traffic Accidents, this monthly mega campaign is designed with an objective of making students of 12 different colleges within the valley aware about theTraffic Rules in this Rota Year (1st July 2010- 31st June 2011). This project falls under the community service avenues of the club. To yourkind information, the first campaign we are going to launch is at Sauyra International College, Gaurigaun on 25th July (Sunday), 2010.

This free information program is comprised of a maximum of 2 hrs lecture and interaction session between traffic police personnel, and the students starting sharply at 10.30 a.m. doing so; we hope to mitigate the prevalent traffic problems, accidents and deaths due toaccidents. An informed society on proper traffic rules and road use cansurely contribute to reducing unforeseen hazards on roads.

So, let’s make our project a grand success and hope to get your support in the days to come.

Warm Regards
